Satori Tea

by Kate on February 23, 2011

I love to support small business, especially in my own city. Imagine my excitement to discover the fabulous Satori Tea Bar practically walking distance from my house! Opened in August of last year by a mom and daughter, the bar is at once urban, attractive and cozy. Victoria (the main tea proprietress) is extremely knowledgeable about tea and a very friendly, cool lady. Did you know that green tea helps kill bacteria that cause plaque?? Anyway, I’m really happy that Satori has set up shop in San Jose. There is a growing cluster of small businesses downtown, many of which are run by hip young folks like Victoria with great taste and artistic talent. Here are some pics from the shoot at the tea bar today.

Yep, thats her on the label.

Drunken Concubine is Vicky B’s favorite tea. I made up that nickname for her – I hope she likes it. Vicky B. can be her rapper name :-)

Wow, what a great write-up and pictures. Congratulations Vicky B. (aka Tori) and much continued success. Thank you Kate for acknowleging Victoria and Satori Tea. I have known Victoria since she was born and always knew she had the potential for success. She was raised by strong and creative women which shows in her style and presence.
