Today marks the first day of the Kids Clothing Week Challenge over at Elsie Marley. Here’s the challenge: Work on making clothes for kids one hour each day for a week. “You mean I can make my child a faux suede tuxedo AND be part of something fun and wholesome?”, you ask incredulously. Yes, Nancy in Winnetka. Yes you can. And we at PeepThread will be playing along too (“we” meaning me and my unsuspecting 3-year-old). I haven’t done my hour of sewing yet today but thought I’d share a dress I made last year. I followed the Chic Bohemian Dress pattern from Mani Mina. Love her patterns.
Check out the Challenge FAQ and dive in with me. Participants are uploading pictures to Elsie’s Flickr Pool and you can see last year’s creations too. I’ll share my works-in-progress here for your entertainment. Now get back to tweeting about Whitney Houston and Meredith Vieira.
