Pot O’ Gold

by Kate on March 15, 2011

I call this the Pot O’ Gold Rainbow Garland. I used some of the felt circles I ordered from these guys and zipped them through the machine in 5-10 minutes. My garland is stitched with off-white thread but you could use clear thread. Such an easy project with a very spiffy result! I’m sure Martha would have cut each of those circles by hand…after shearing her lambs, dying their wool with colors only found in nature, and then weaving the fibers on a miniature loom while wearing a vintage bonnet handmade by somebody on the Mayflower. I, however, have too many other things demanding my full attention (i.e. getting caught up on episodes of Portlandia and Big Love).

Endless color combo possibilities. And for those of you who don’t sew: just buy some garlands on Etsy :-)
